A long talk with Bob McCarty about mexican truck issue,,As most of you all know Mr. Bob McCarty has a blog on the internet and is also very active in the polt issues within this country.
Today Bob called an we had a long talk about the border & mex truck issue.
Most of you know where I personally stand on this and if not well let me explain.
There are 9 million CDL holders within the USA, over 3 million trucks , & if you look it up we are the largest single work force in the country.
Why does our own goverment feel the need to undercut the america trucking industry in this manner.
They claim mexico added tarrifs & it causes undo burden on some US Co's ?
Not one word about the undo burden on US trucking Co's.
No where did I see where they would require the mexican trucks to run the low sulfer fuel that US trucks are required to run but yet in Calif. they are using the clean air act to try & rid the ports of some 16,000 O/O's
Seems like a double standard to me.
